Group Head of Corporate Communications & International Engagement at Centrica plc
Sophie has worked across all aspects of external affairs for nearly 20 years, advising major corporates on their critical communications with external stakeholders, driving reputation and supporting the investment proposition.
Sophie was a Partner at Brunswick where she worked for nearly 12 years advising on M&A, demergers, IPO’s and restructurings. She has helped to launch strategic reviews, recovery plans and evolutionary strategies. She has counselled incoming and outgoing management and has helped draft announcements, briefing papers and speeches that reflect the good times and the harsh recessionary times.
In 2013 Sophie joined Centrica plc where she is currently the Group Head of Corporate Communications & International Engagement responsible for all external communications that concern the PLC and the Group Chief Executive whether political, corporate or financial.
Sophie has advised on numerous campaigns at Centrica across political stakeholders, NGOs, media and investors. She is focused on both driving the corporate reputation of the Group and supporting its investment proposition, establishing Centrica as a responsible corporate citizen, employer of choice and a 21st Century international energy and services company focused on the customer.
Sophie has an MA (hons) from St Andrews University and is married with two children.
