Chris Anker

Lead Analyst (EMEA), Responsible Investment at Columbia Threadneedle Investments

Chris Anker is Lead Analyst (EMEA), Responsible Investment at Columbia Threadneedle Investments where he leads in the delivery of CTI’s Stewardship activities within EMEA. He is also responsible for overseeing the co-ordination of all activity across the EMEA RI team.

Prior to joining the company, Chris worked at both RPMI Railpen (the pension fund for the UK rail industry) and the Church of England where he supported the Church’s Ethical Investment Advisory Group. His first career was in intellectual property law.

Chris is the current chair of the UKSIF Analyst Committee and he sits also on the UKSIF Policy Committee. He is a member of the Investment Association’s Sustainability and Responsible Investment Committee.

He holds a Masters in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, a Masters in Engineering and Physical Science in Medicine from Imperial College, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Sector Management from the University of London. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate, and has completed CFA Level 1.
